Their freedom is in your hands

This poster was made on behalf of the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood in Minneapolis, Minnesota, targeted at the Caucasian population in Minneapolis.
The neighborhood houses the largest population of Somali people in Minneapolis. It experiences high rates of gang-initiated crime. More recently, young Somali boys are being recruited by Al-Shabaab, luring them to return to Somalia to 'save their families.' In reality, the terrorist group coerces them back home and trains them as soldiers for Al-Shabaab, with the intent to sacrifice the young boys in suicide initiatives.
This poster calls for action from Minneapolis locals to take ownership of this new community in the metro area and make Minneapolis home for the Somali community.
And he will be called...

This poster was created for Bethel University's Office of Christian Formation and Church Relations. Their chapel programming in the month of December was centered around the season of Advent.
Each picture frame contains a nativity scene as depicted by a different culture. The chapel series explored Jesus Christ's prophetic identities, which were "Wonderful Counselor," "Mighty God", "Everlasting Father," and "Prince of Peace."
Beautiful Minds

This poster was the outcome of the Beautiful Minds photoshoot. Also created for the Office of Christian Formation and Church Relations, this poster signifies the stigma of mental health, specifically at Bethel University.
Prior to directing this photoshoot and creating this poster, I interviewed a handful of students who were open about their experiences with mental illness within the Bethel community. Many said that they wish they would know others that were going through the same issues. Mental health is not often talked about within the community. This chapel series took a step in the right direction for change.
