The Art + Design Department at Bethel University houses its Studio Art, Graphic Design, Art Education and B.F.A. in Art majors. This department is fully expressive in all kinds of ways, and enjoys going down the untrodden path.
The Art + Design Department needs a rebrand that appeals to prospective students and their parents. The brand must also be flexible enough to be applied to a brand activation event to promote the Department.

social media strategy
The four main categories that the Department’s feed will be founded on are Major Spotlights, Student Art Spotlights, Featured Statistics, and Encouraging Taglines. The post content is not limited to these four categories, but these four are to be used most often.

brand activation event
All throughout Bethel University’s main academic buildings, students are found toiling over classwork with few spaces on campus reserved to simply rest and recreate.
The Bethel University Art + Design Department Joy Train is an effort to create joy in the redundant spaces all across Bethel’s campus. The goal is to relate joy, delight, and silliness to the Art + Design Department because of the Joy Train.
The Joy Train will be filled with simple, day-to-day goodies that feel special. Professors and art and design students will work the train, wheeling the carts around campus one to two times per semester, and filling the hallways and study areas with surprise and delight.

This rebrand of the Bethel University Art + Design Department successfully embraces the quirkiness the Department is. The rebrand is relatable, approachable, and memorable. The deliverables effectively communicate reliable information regarding the Department without boring the reader.
